![]() ![]() Also, here's a short video showing how it used to be a capable exotic in the Crucible. Or, if you have some current build that utilizes the limited power of ole Insurmountable, I'd love to give it a try. Now, these are not the only ways to fix the Skullfort, so I'd love to hear if other people have ideas on how to give this once worthwhile helmet some new life after the recent changes. Guardians could give back somewhere between 50 to 100% of a melee back if it is uncharged, now that the shoulder charge rarely results in a direct kill to the charge itself. An Insurmountable Skullfort: If a major theme of Arc titans is going. A rank-and-file enemy could give back maybe 1/3 of a melee on an unpowered kill, a major could give back 3/4, and a boss could always return a full melee. Here are all of the new exotic armors for each class thus far in Destiny 2 Lightfall. I am not even suggesting that a full melee be refreshed on any melee kill, but that there be a portion refunded dependent on the type of enemy killed. Instead of building into a really strong Thor throwing hammer, one could potentially spam a bunch of throwing hammers, leaving them strewn around the battlefield like little grenades.įor 1, I would still like the helmet to refund charged melees fully if they result in a kill. Remove the "arc" requirement from the melee refunding.įor 2, I think this would allow for some fun alternative builds with Middle Tree Hammers. Remove the "powered" requirement from the arc melee for refunding. So, with no real use case for it left, how should it be changed to provide one? I have two ideas : While you can technically still get some use out of it in Gambit with Thundercrash, it is a shadow of how it used to work in old Gambit (before the merger). They can be especially useful when running Crotas End, as there are usually plenty of orbs to collect. With shoulder charge no longer 1-shotting in Crucible, the last real place this exotic could find use has been removed. It does not have amazing perks but they are decent. Now that the changes have gone through for the (shoulder) charged Titan Melees, I think the travesty of Insurmountable Skullfort should be looked at.
