It looked as if Larry wanted to change who he was throughout the episode but it looked as if the change was for evil. Larry on the other hand is so vastly opposite of Brennen and even Michael in a way. Being the way he is it’s no wonder Larry calls him a dick. The way Brennen speaks and handles himself clearly makes him the sociopath Michael so aptly called him in last weeks Name Card (NC). Brennen (Jay Karnes) and Larry Sizemore (Tim Matheson) returned this week and were amazing. “Ten years together, haven’t had a fistfight yet,” Lanthier said.Īll in all, the day was filled with exciting moments - skiers doing 360-degree spins, dogs meeting each other, golfers landing accurate shots, new skiers learning the trade and lots of current and unique beers being sampled. My second reason for enjoying this episode is the guest stars. It started on a whim when the couple saw Lanthier in town the night before the competition. The three have been shooting together for a decade, Pam said. Scott said they were in a “building year” like the Buffalo Bills, whose logo adorned his hat. “Counting discrepancies,” Lanthier, the titular ringer, alleged. “Scottie! He said he wanted pictures of the winning team!” Skiff said.Įdwards and the Ringer said they had won the competition four times before, but it’s been a couple of years. Skiff called over the field to a competing team - Edwards and the Ringer’s Scott Edwards, Pam Edwards and Spencer Lanthier - when the Enterprise showed up to take a photo. “We’re probably going to win this thing,” one Callaghan said. The championship title was won by the Leroy’s Auto team of Rick Skiff, Larry Callaghan and Bauer Callaghan, who called their shot during the competition. Stu Nichols is president of the Tupper Lake Lions Club that organized the Fire and Ice Golf Tournament. “These guys do such a great job with grooming it.” “It’s the best it’s been all year,” he said of the conditions. “Where are they all coming from?”Īfter seeing the grass just a couple of days earlier, Frenette was happy with the layers of snow that had fallen and continued to fall during Brew-Ski. “I can’t believe the people,” Frenette’s daughter Margaret O’Leary said. “I can’t be any better than watching all these people,” he said. He developed the trail network “way back when” but never envisioned an event like Brew-Ski. “It’s been introduced to a lot of people,” he said.įrenette was thrilled with the turnout, the condition of the trails and the event as a whole. He was being treated like a celebrity as locals like Christielee Geiger rushed over for selfies with the legendary skier.Īs he looked around at the hordes of people skiing, sipping and socializing, he commented on how the course is a good place to learn to ski and get introduced to the sport he’s enjoyed for most of his 94 years living in town. Jim Frenette, for whom the trails are named, was out on skis with family and cups in hand on Saturday.
